What guests have to say about their Ballilogue experience
'THERE ARE SO MANY POSITIVES ABOUT BALLILOGUE TO RECOMMEND IT'
Ballilogue was the perfect venue for my multi-generational family get-together & celebration in August 2019. With full occupancy across the 3 lovely houses, everyone had space to read, relax, and, for my 2-year-old Grandson, to play in the lovely gardens that each house enjoys. There are so many positives about Ballilogue to recommend it as a venue. Right from my initial inquiry the creative team professional and efficient in dealing with all my requests, which meant that everything was in perfect order by the time we arrived. I do believe that it is always the little details that separate a venue from being ordinary to extraordinary.......from freshly baked brown bread, butter and jam in the kitchen to lovely wildflower arrangements in the sitting rooms or bedrooms or from 5 star quality bedding and towels, to extremely well-equipped kitchens with plenty of china, glasses, & cutlery, essential when feeding a crowd - nothing was overlooked.
We stayed for 3 nights, feeding ourselves the first night and then had local caterers come in for a celebration dinner on Saturday night in The Old Dairy. Our dinner was made all the more special as we had organized to have the Shed Bar opened for some pre-dinner drinks to get the evening going! Ballilogue is a unique place, with a lovely atmosphere that encourages its guests to relax within it's stylish and comfortable surroundings. I just wish we could have stayed longer!

We had a wonderful 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration at Ballilogue this weekend. It was a beautiful sunny weekend and we all enjoyed being out and about in Kilkenny & Wexford. Your caterer Trish & Eamon provided a fantastic meal which was eaten with gusto. Many thanks.

'THE WEEKEND EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTATIONS'
'I lucked out when I came across Ballilogue searching for an alternative & original venue for my sister’s celebration. From the minute I started chatting to the team at Ballilogue I knew I’d found the place, they were so helpful and responsive and helped me plan the most perfect time. The houses are designed with amazing style & so lovingly cared for, from the VOYA organic toiletries, to the luxury towels and designer bed linen & throws you feel very much at a 5 star property. As the girls arrived there was gasps and lots of OMG's! We had their amazing chefs design a stunning 3 course meal for us and the weekend exceeded all expectations. We look forward to our next visit. 'A SUPERB 4 DAY CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION - TAKE A BOW BALLILOGUE!'
Setting out early last year to find somewhere to host a four day Christmas celebration for our family of 22, I came upon the gem that is Ballilogue. From first contact I knew that it would be the perfect place for us. 3 beautifully refurbished stone houses and a dining table, in the Old Dairy, that would comfortably seat us all. It is very evident from first glance the care and attention that has gone into this fabulous property. Beautiful bathrooms, bedrooms with luxurious linens and the comfiest of beds, cosy well equipped kitchens and lots of places to escape to with a good book. Ballilogue organised catering to be delivered for Christmas Eve which was wonderful and made for a very relaxed evening catching up on everyone's news. From a lovely warm welcome on arrival to the beautiful Christmas decorations throughout take a bow Ballilogue Team, you are doing a superb job and we are singing you praises at home and abroad.

'THE FIRES WERE LIT, THE DINING SPACE WAS PREPARED & DECORATED ON ARRIVAL FOR OUR NEW YEAR CELEBRATION'
As a family group of 16 people, we were looking for somewhere special to spend a few nights over New Year, not far from Dublin. We discovered Ballilogue and made an enquiry. This was the starting point for a fantastic experience all round. Our host at Ballilogue went out of his way to understand the family group, suggest how best to organise the space and sourced catering solutions. The lead-up to our get-together was fantastic. On arrival a warm and friendly greeting, the fires lit, houses beautifully prepared & presented and the Old Dairy dining space decorated & ready for our New Years Eve dinner & celebration. The Caterers arranged did a fantastic job. The venue was extremely spacious and set in a beautiful location. Check-out was smooth and hassle -free. A truly memorable experience. Thanks again Ballilogue!
Gavin & Extended Family, Sydney, London & Dublin, New Year at The Ballilogue Stone Hamlet, December 2018/January 2019
Ballilogue was three days of pure bliss. Annie and Mark were incredibly helpful throughout the planning of our getaway and were welcoming on our arrival. Our party of 14 took over the lodge and farmhouse to celebrate a family birthday. Within minutes of arriving we were at our ease, soaking up the glorious evening sunshine in the various sun-traps to be found around the flower filled gardens. To say Ballilogue is a ‘home away from home’ is an understatement; each house is beautifully decorated, comfortable and well kitted out. We enjoyed a catered dinner in the dairy on our last evening, all arranged by the Creative team at Ballilogue. If the weather is nice, as it was for us, I would recommend the beautiful walk from Thomastown to Inistioge. We would dearly love to return – next time for longer!

'I HIT GOLD WHEN I DISCOVERED BALLILOGUE'
I was tasked with finding somewhere to host a celebration of my parents golden wedding anniversary that would be suitable for all of our family (15 in total) ranging in age from 1 to 73.... I hit gold when I discovered Ballilogue! From my first enquiry until we left the property on a sunny Sunday morning the service was second to none. the creative team patiently answered all of my questions and were extremely helpful with suggestions to help make our weekend as special as possible. This included the option to have caterers to come in just for us and provide a celebration dinner on the Saturday night in the Old Dairy building and the Shed bar, and it was amazing. The setting, food and the lovely caterers Trish and Eamon were all fantastic and really made the night feel special. The houses, grounds and location are beautiful, it is obvious that great care has been taken to design and style the properties and that attention to detail is very important to the owners. They have thought of everything. Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds and pillows were! The lovely and friendly Annie met us when we arrived and was so obliging and helpful. Annie came back on the Saturday afternoon to open up Mrs Meaney’s Cottage and well worth the look, the kids loved it! I could not recommend Ballilogue highly enough for any kind of a stay but it is particularly perfect for a group gathering of any kind. I hope we get to revisit it soon.

'BALLILOGUE IS AN AMAZING PROPERTY, HOPE TO RETURN SOMEDAY'
Ballilogue is an amazing property. My dad and sister are antique collectors and restore old homes, they were both in heaven. We had plenty of space for our party of nine, the grounds were beautiful and relaxing, the property manager Annie is lovely, she was warm and helpful from beginning to end. Make sure she opens up Mrs. Meaney's Cottage for you – it's really charming, historic and there is a shop within the cottage where you can buy wonderful handcrafted Irish gifts. Loved it and hope to return someday.

'STAFF WERE REALLY ACCOMMODATING'
We were attending a wedding locally in Thomastown on Sunday, so we decided to make a weekend of it. We travelled to Kilkenny on Saturday morning and booked in after lunch. Ballilogue was such a house to relax and chill out in. We had 2 children and they loved the space and opportunity to explore outside. We throughly recommend to anyone wanting a lovely relaxed weekend in the country. Thanks to all the staff who were really accommodating. Thanks again'

A VERY SPECIAL 80TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION'
My mother's 80th birthday party was the most special event thanks to Mark, Annie and his creative team at Ballilogue. We were greeted with warm hospitality and toured the property as our family arrived. We enjoyed spreading out in the most unique spaces of three residences on the property and watched as everyone found a special nook to relax or a green lawn to toddle down and play as the small children wove in among the lovely trees. As our guests walked around the property and down the road sheep and cows greeted us along the way. We enjoyed the special bread and jam for breakfast. Flowers adorned our walks along the property and could be found in special places in our homes. We celebrated with delicious food arranged so carefully by the Creative Team with two special cakes which the guests found to be extraordinary. Mark arranged for some special surprises for our guests which made the celebration so special. Every detail of our stay was so lovingly planned. The homes have been so cared for and every detail has been carefully planned. There is so much room in the homes that everyone had space to feel like they were at their own personal resort and yet the charm of the original structures are still very present. A beautiful balance between the comfort of the new with cherishing the history and charm of the old. This stay at Ballilogue will be a memory that our family will hold dear to our hearts. Thanks to everyone who took the care in making that happen.

Amazing house that is so well equipped. The house is so fab you won't want to leave it. My friends and I had the best weekend here. It is spotlessly clean. 'THE IDEAL LOCATION FOR CATCHING UP WITH FRIENDS IN TRULY STUNNING SURROUNDINGS'
Myself and my friends had any idyllic stay at Ballilogue. We loved the luxurious finishes in the bedrooms and bathrooms and the attention to detail used throughout the contemporary refurbishment of these beautiful stone buildings. We had lunch outside in the September sunshine and cosied up inside by the fire in the evening. There is a great selection of indoor and outdoor relaxing spaces so it is the ideal location for catching up with a group of friends in truly stunning surroundings.

'EVERYTHING RAN SMOOTHLY FROM THE MOMENT WE ARRIVED UNTIL WE RELUCTANTLY WAVED GOODBYE'
My rather large family travelled from various locations in the UK, Ireland and Australia, to enjoy the beautiful Ballilogue Lodge and House in all its glory during the May bank holiday weekend. The weather was beautiful, which allowed us to enjoy the gardens and breathe in the fresh countryside air. The House and Lodge are a real treat, with very thoughtful attention to detail and design. We took advantage of local caterers and a local babysitter, Kate - I highly recommend both. The entire weekend was fantastic and the Ballilogue team were a pleasure to deal with, ensuring everything ran smoothly from the moment we arrived, to the point where we reluctantly waved goodbye. We hope very much to be back again soon.

'ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND DESIGN'
I loved the attention to detail and materials in the design and accessories at Ballilogue. As a visual artist I really appreciate how this adds to the comfort with a nod to history at the same time. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.

'THE PERFECT FAMILY GETAWAY FOR MUM'S 60TH BIRTHDAY'
We spent an amazing weekend in Ballilogue for my Mum’s 60th birthday. It was the perfect family getaway - relaxing and luxurious in beautiful surroundings. 'AN UNFORGETABLE STAY IN THIS HAVEN'
Ballilogue truly is a haven. The rustic but very stylish décor is expertly achieved and the cosy touches and nods to history on tea towels and cushion covers makes for a very immersive experience. The bedrooms are also stunning, each one you wander into feeling better than the last. And we can't forget Mrs Meaney's cottage which was the icing on the cake for the American guests I stayed with. The Ballilogue Creative Team were also extremely friendly and helpful. An unforgettable stay!

'EXCEPTIONAL & UNIQUE NEW YEAR FAMILY REUNION AT BALLILOGUE'
'Ballilogue is an exceptional, unique and beautiful experience. We spent New Year 2017 celebrating a family reunion at Ballilogue. Three generations, distant and less distant travellers, designers, academics and foodies, all blown away by the style, the comfort, the quality, the food and the natural beauty of the place. From our first email engagement with the Creative team at Ballilogue to the on-site support of Annie, we couldn’t have received better attention. The pre-planning of the catering, the choice and quality of the food, the generosity of the owners with the resources of the houses was the icing on the cake!"

'IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEWHERE TRULY SPECIAL THEN BALLILOGUE IS FOR YOU!'
We were organising a pre-wedding weekend for my sister and wanted to create a truly special get away. From our initial contact with Ballilogue we knew we had made the right choice. The Creative Team at Ballilogue had lots of great suggestions for activities, catering options and entertainment to ensure we created a personalised and memorable weekend. We hired out all three houses, each with its own charm and character, as well as the beautiful Old Dairy Dining Space. The care and love that has been put into the sympathetic restoration of the buildings is evident and merged with a modern design slant creates spaces that are unique. During our two night stay Annie was on call to answer any questions we had. Three highlights of the weekend were our guided walk in Inistioge and it's surrounding area, the on-site spa & beauty treatments at Ballilogue and a three course celebration meal at the Old Dairy starting with a canapé & drinks reception and ending with a traditional Irish music session. The catering team were excellent and tailored a menu to meet our needs including various dietary requirements. If you are looking for somewhere truly special Ballilogue is for you! This wonderful oasis tucked away in the south Kilkenny countryside is one that you will not want to leave. We are already planning our next trip and who will have which bedroom! We will be back!

'BALLILOGUE WAS ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS'
First off, we had the most wonderful weekend. I couldn't believe it when I arrived. It's pretty in the photos but it's just so so much more beautiful in person (I didn't think that would even have been possible). It's impossible to even have a favorite house, they are just all so unique in their own way with such unusual and friendly nooks and crannies. The places are kitted out so so well for a weekend like ours and it was so great to have the Dairy on the Friday night and for bits and pieces on the Saturday. We were so lucky with the weather, a lovely relaxing Saturday afternoon on the hill behind the lodge just chilling out. As you suspected I would have just loved to have stayed longer
Ballilogue was absolutely flawless and provided the most perfect backdrop to allow the weekend unfold. It was great to have the relaxed check out on Sunday as well. It made everyone's departures lovely which is the ideal way to wrap up a weekend.
Deirdre & friends, Ireland. August 2017
The Ballilogue Stone Hamlet was everything we thought it would be. The layout was perfect for a big group - with a central location and lots of little places to tuck away and read a book or take a nap! The countryside was gorgeous and we were well taken care of throughout the entire stay. It was picture perfect!

'THE CATERED CELEBRATION DINNER AT THE OLD DAIRY WAS VERY SPECIAL'
Our group had a lovely stay at Ballilogue House. This farmhouse is restored beautifully and comfortably accommodated our group of ten adults. Location is about a 10 minute drive from beautiful Inistioge or to New Ross with its supermarkets and other amenities. We had a great catered celebration dinner with our extended Irish family in the Old Dairy at Ballilogue too on the Sunday evening, it was very special. Thanks Annie!

'A WONDERFUL STAY TO CELEBRATE DAD'S BIRTHDAY'
Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the team. My family and I had a wonderful stay in Ballilogue to celebrate my Dad's Birthday. It was so relaxing and we were delighted to have nice weather for it too. Ballilogue House was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities we needed - great for a medium size group like ours! The House has such great character which is reflected in each bedroom and the garden is just beautiful with all the flowers. We will definitely be back again!

'THE HOUSE WAS REALLY COMFORTABLE, PARTICULARLY THE BEDS'
We had a super weekend. Mark was great with the organisation running up to our arrival and Annie gave us a very warm welcome. She couldn't have been more help - home made brown and jam left for us. The house was really comfortable, particularly the beds. Plenty of space for our group of ten. Lovely to have the second relaxing area which made us feel as if we were sitting in the garden. The house has a wonderful selection of artwork and pottery which added to the ambiance. Beautiful countryside all around and we really felt as if we were getting away from it all.

'BLOWN AWAY BY THE BEAUTY, DESIGN & COMFORT OF BALLILOGUE'
I’m writing to say what a wonderful weekend we all had at Ballilogue. Our guests were blown away by the beauty, design and comfort of the place – the houses, gardens and area around Ballilogue are just Ireland at its very best. Everything simple, quality and beautifully put together.
More importantly, you all made the weekend run very smoothly for us – beautiful food and wines. The careful planning leading up to the event and the warm hospitality while we were there were greatly appreciated and remarked upon by everyone. You all made us feel very welcome and took away the burden of having to do anything ourselves! I hope that the business goes from strength to strength – it deserves to!

'A WONDERFUL FEW DAYS AT BALLILOGUE LODGE'
I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful few days my family and I spent at the Ballilogue Lodge recently. We all really enjoyed the complete change of scene and the wonderful facilities at the lodge. We were so lucky with the weather and made great use of the outside patio areas, following the sun around during the day! A really lovely part of the country and I'm sure we will be back. Thanks for the recommendations for places to eat. We had two lovely meals, one in The Step House Hotel and the other in Mannions.

'AN EXPERIENCE NOT TO BE MISSED'
Amazing! The best that Ireland has to offer -- hospitality, tradition, comfort and well-being. This was our second stay at Ballilogue and again it surpassed expectations. Mark organized two uniquely Irish experiences for our group & Annie is the epitome of all things that we love about the Irish! The houses are as gorgeous as the photos on the website. This is an experience not to be missed.
Maureen & friends, Florida USA, May 2017
Without doubt, travellers who risk venturing down the single lane farm road, to arrive at the quaint hamlet of Ballilogue will be rewarded. Ballilogue pays tribute to a more simple past, fulfilling the human need for stability and permanence as well as beauty and romance. The juxtaposition of old and new is artfully done, the caretakers (Annie and Mark) are affable and friendly, and the house is comfortable and quiet. The surrounding towns along the river Nore are unspoiled and humble. There are no high volume tourist attractions or crowds; its just Ireland, unfiltered and welcoming. It was just what we needed to disconnect from our busy lives. Sincere thanks for sharing this special place with our family.

'IDYLLIC COUNTRY RETREAT'
Ballilogue located in the heart of the beautiful Kilkenny countryside was a true gem. We were met by the lovely Ann on arrival who showed us around and was really helpful as well as being available on the phone to help us with directions!!! The house provided lovely brown bread, jam and eggs on arrival which was a nice touch. I was really pleasantly surprised at how spacious the Lodge was. With two ample sitting rooms that were both comfortable and cosy and a lovely large kitchen/dining space. All areas had access to the outside which was also lovely. The interiors are considered without being pretentious which really gave the place a homely feeling. Beds were super comfortable and house was very clean and well equipped. Showers were excellent and all in all our party of 6 were very impressed with the house. I definitely hope to revisit Ballilogue for some true R&R.

'I CAN'T RECOMMEND BALLILOGUE HIGHLY ENOUGH'
A M A Z I N G ! If you have the chance for some down time, this is the place to do it. We were lucky enough to have use of the entire space at Ballilogue and all 3 cottages. Each one has the same level of attention to detail, dressed with the finest interiors and sparklingly clean. The original building layout had been left Undisturbed and the renovations and extensions merely compliment the spaces. If you're looking for somewhere to escape, THIS is it. There is a space for everyone, large living rooms and cosy corners as well as huge, well equipped, kitchens and incredibly comfortable beds. The spaces are decorated with fantastic art works and there is quite the collection of books to keep you entertained. The outdoor spaces and gardens surrounding the properties boasts well maintained, mature gardens which are a delight to sit amongst and enjoy the peace. Ideal location for a couples getaway, family trip, reunion or girls trip alike. New Ross is less than 10 minutes drive which has everything you'll need for amenities, food etc. Inistoge and Woodstock Gardens are both a stones throw and make for lovely day trips. Communication is second to none and the friendliness yet professionalism on site cannot be surpassed. Having stayed at many an Airbnb over the last decade I can't recommend Ballilogue highly enough.

'AN ARCHITECTURAL DELIGHT'
It is difficult to describe Ballilogue, this charming group of secluded, elegant cottages and gardens, essentially a hamlet, without constant superlatives. A secluded retreat of the highest quality, simply but luxuriously appointed and landscaped with every detail throughout including the privacy of each cottage and garden. An architectural delight that has been carefully restored with impeccable modern taste and no compromises. The group includes a tiny private museum documenting the original owner of one the cottages and a small shop stocked with exquisite handcrafted Irish products. A highlight of our Irish visit: we will return!

'BALLILOGUE HAS TRULY SET THE BAR HIGH FOR FUTURE TRAVELS ABROAD'
Ballilogue exceeded our already-high expectations for a relaxing stay in the southeast countryside with our four twenty-something children. The scenery was postcard beautiful, the nearby towns of Inistioge and New Ross charming and convenient and the lodging accommodations well-appointed and comfortable. Mark and Ann were a pleasure to work with throughout the process: accessible, communicative, thorough-and very helpful with travel tips and recommendations. Ballilogue has truly set the bar high for future travels abroad. Míle maith agat

'THE BEST OF IRELAND IN A HOME - DON'T MISS IT'
This space is perfection. The nearby village, the house, the grounds. the flowers, the nature, the walks, the furnishings, the linens and towels, the kitchen, the sitting rooms- it is dialed in. We absolutely loved it. Everything about this property is wonderful. We hope to return very soon and we will recommend it to everyone we know. It's also cool for a small retreat or gathering-birthday party, wedding, yoga retreat? We had a glorious time at the house and the city nearby is absolutely gorgeous. This was the best of Ireland in a home. Don't miss it. Yeah, the wifi is not super fast. But deal with it. You're on vacation!

'HOME AND GARDENS ARE SO STUNNING WE RARELY WANTED TO LEAVE'
Ballilogue Farmhouse was absolutely perfect! We were a multi-generational family of 10 ( Ages 10-70). We chose this home for its central location to sights in County Kilkenny--which was great. However, the home and gardens were so stunning that we rarely wanted to leave! Beautiful architecture, lovely amenities and Annie, The Ballilogue Manager, was wonderful and made the stay even more delightful! A Phenomenal time and we can't wait to return for a longer stay . Thank you for everything!

'LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT & WILL RETURN AGAIN!'
Ballilogue Barn - A refuge, a sanctuary, a haven ... this is an absolute get away from it all kind of place. Loved every minute & will return again!

'REALLY NICE, WELL DESIGNED & AUTHENTIC'
We had a lovely stay, very peaceful and quiet. Ballilogue Barn was really nice, well designed and authentic. Everything was well organised and communication and information in advance was timely and useful. We just went as a couple and stayed in the barn which was ideal for us. Having taken the opportunity to view the other properties on the day we left I think it would be an ideal location for a larger private party for a special event. Would definitely consider going back.

'THE WHOLE FAMILY LOVED IT SO MUCH'
My family and I booked a weekend stay at Ballilogue Lodge and from the minute we turned into the drive it was paradise and it felt like a home from home. From the beautiful grounds, to amazing interior down to the welcome homemade bread and jam, it was a pleasure from start to finish. Every possible eventuality is thought of: the makings of a fire, board games, DVDs, bathrobes, beautiful books. The whole family loved it so much they didn't want to go and do our planned excursions. We are already trying to plan when we can go back. Highly recommend it!!

'THERE IS A CALMNESS & TRANQUILITY TO BALLILOGUE'
WOW! Ballilogue has exceeded all of our hopes and expectations. There is a calmness and tranquility to Ballilogue that permeated every aspect of our brief sojourn here, even with some unseasonal weather outside. And the comfort, we'd be remiss not to mention the comfort! We'll be back soon.

'TO WEEKENDS WITH FRIENDS IN BEAUTIFUL HOUSES'
A few friends, my sister and I rented a house near Inistioge for the weekend. It was part of a little stone hamlet at Ballilogue. We had the beautifully restored lodge. It was the most relaxing, restorative few days I have spent for quite some time. Long walks and superb company. I want to go back there next weekend and the weekend after that! To weekends with friends in beautiful houses!

BEAUTIFUL ,STYLISH ACCOMMODATION, PERFECT FOR LARGE GROUPS'
Just spent the most amazing weekend at Ballilogue. We were planning a family get-together as it had been two years since our large group had all managed to meet up. We were looking for a unique, private location that could house 20 people but we were struggling to find somewhere with that capacity and that was accessible to family travelling from different parts of the country. Well, to say Ballilogue surpassed our expectations is an understatement.
It is a collection of 5 lovingly restored stone buildings which have been stylishly renovated, merging beautiful original features like exposed stone walls, sash windows and shutters with modern fittings and furniture. All houses have wood burning stoves and large communal areas. We spent most of our time together in the farmhouse, lodge and dairy as the kitchens and living areas easily facilitated large family mealtimes. However the beauty of the place and its unique design meant that it was easy to retreat to a quiet room, or secluded spot in the beautiful garden. Despite the fact there were 20 guests (including young children) it never felt crowded and gave everyone some much-needed space to relax and unwind.
The attention to detail is wonderful with gorgeous accessories and artwork in each room, fully equipped kitchens, the beds are extremely comfortable and the shower in the farmhouse (with its glass roof) is a great feature. The extensive gardens are a joy. There is some beautiful planting and outdoor seating areas dotted all around each of the houses. My only regret is that I didn’t see the gardens in full bloom. However the pond teaming with tadpoles, the daffodils and a little spring sunshine gave us a taste of what’s to come and I hope I get to return later in the year to experience it again. I would highly recommend Ballilogue to anyone considering a family gathering, friends' reunion or even a workplace away-day.

'A PERFECT STAY AT THIS BEAUTIFUL LODGE'
My guests and I had a perfect stay at this beautiful Lodge! The property is stunning, and the area is incredibly serene. We felt we were staying in a property straight out of architectural digest! The photos represent the property well but nothing really prepares you for the beauty in real life. All the rooms are good sizes & have their own bathrooms which is great for groups. The bathrobes for every guest were a fabulous touch. The kitchen is well equipped and the big table is perfect for hosting guests. Communication prior to arriving was excellent and Mike helped me with any queries I had with regards the property and area. There was another family staying in the property next door, Ballilogue House, but we didn't cross paths at all. The layout of the properties make each one very private. Overall we had an amazing stay at Ballilogue Lodge and I'm counting down the days to return. Thank you, Mike and Annie!”

'A GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ALL AND WE HOPE TO RETURN NEXT YEAR'
We had a wonderful Easter in Ballilogue, every one enjoyed it and we all felt at home there in Ballilogue House. Ann was very welcoming and helpful. The family are hoping to return next year. Thanks again for all your help and recommendations. We had a great meal in the pub, the younger ones availed of the taxi service on Saturday night, we had coffee and a walk in beautiful St Mullins closeby. A great time was had by all.

'THE (BRILLIANT) BARN'
We enjoyed a relaxing 4-night break at The (brilliant) Barn, and the dog came too - a bonus for all! Long walks every day along the nearby beautiful Barrow towpath, with expeditions to some of the lovely small towns and landmarks within an hour’s drive such as Thomastown, Inistioge, Borris, Graigenamanagh and the JFK Arboretum. Back tired and happy each evening to a roaring fire in the cosy Barn. Style and comfort don’t always meet but here they most certainly do. Recommendations: The Nutshell Deli in New Ross for really superb lunches; lovely bar dinner in the Step House Hotel in Borris; coffee & snacks in the Mullicháin Café in St Mullins or in The Hub in Thomastown

BALLILOGUE FARMHOUSE IS A SPECIAL PLACE - WITH A TRUE IRISH WELCOME'
“We were a family group of eight from the US, visiting family in Co. Wexford. Ballilogue Farmhouse in South Kilkenny was a perfect first destination for us. I had to smile when we arrived to meet the manager was on site at the agreed upon time, and with four of our Irish cousins who had stopped by to welcome us. It was a gorgeous day: the teapot was ready, scones and jam were on the table, and everyone was talking and enjoying the lovely patio when we drove up. A true Irish welcome! The house and grounds are beautiful, and appear as in the photos. We were fortunate to have some great sunny summer weather during our six-night stay. We hosted a 76th birthday party for my husband’s mom in the atrium and upper patio, and the space was just magical on a summer evening. I just loved having enough plates and glasses, etc. to host a party, and the kitchen is large and easy to use. Ballilogue farmhouse is a special place, I feel lucky that that we were able to stay there and share it with family, and I’m sure it’s helped create some very happy memories.”

A DREAM LOCATION FOR A YOGA RETREAT - OR ANY RETREAT'
Ballilogue was home to my first yoga retreat in Ireland and I must say that it surpassed my expectations by a long stretch. The estate was absolutely perfect in every respect. The photos at www.ballilogue.com do it justice! First, there were the houses: three elegantly furnished and designed houses, which made it possible for 11 of us to have common space and privacy all at the same time! And a fourth building, which was an amazing stone building with a wood stove and perfect for our yoga sessions. It cultivated the interior quiet we needed to go in. Then there was the general vibe of the place, which was just fantastic - places to hang, places to congregate, cozy, but not claustrophobic. The owner and his team were just amazing, helping us find a wonderful guide to lead us on walks, get to the Wexford Opera, and find our way to all the wonderful, charming towns that are near by. We will be back!!

'DESIGN OF HOUSE STRAIGHT OUT OF AN ARCHITECTURE MAGAZINE'
“Our family of 16 had a fabulous stay! The layout of the property is incredibly serene. We enjoyed coffee in the garden and walks around the farmland roads. Inside the house is equipped with everything you need. When we first checked-in everyone ran around the property excited to see the layout and what each person's room was like. The aesthetics and design of the house is straight out of a architecture magazine. My family was blown away and I think I got three toasts over the week about the accommodations. We also arranged to have two privately catered dinners at the farmhouse at Ballilogue. The dinners were amongst the best meals we had in Ireland. The manager was also available to help with any questions around the house or the neighbouring towns and was so accommodating making my family feel right at home.”

'THE PERFECT PLACE TO SAVOUR THIS SPECIAL PART OF IRELAND'
'We booked our long weekend break for extended family (grandparents, children & grandchildren) in Ballilogue and stayed at the Lodge and Barn. The design in both is exquisite and tasteful, the soft grey walls and woodwork serving as the perfect backdrop for some lovely pieces of furniture, gorgeous rugs, handwoven blankets, throws and cushions, art and a wonderful supply of books ranging from design and art to gardening and even fishing. We awoke to powerful, hot, spacious showers, fluffy towels and robes, played games (scrabble etc kindly supplied), read books, watched DVDs (what an amazing selection, catering for everyone), cooked some great meals and gathered in the Lodge's gorgeous kitchen with it's massive, rustic table, chatted around the stove at night (a humongous wicker basket of logs and kindling is provided) and retired to sumptuous beds between Egyptian cotton sheets. I'm not sure I've ever slept so soundly. It rained incessantly for the four days of our break and the land around us was sodden. You couldn't imagine a greater contrast between our snug designer accommodation and the mucky farmland surrounding it but somehow it all made perfect sense. The old farm buildings have been shown incredible respect by their owners, deservedly so, and it was a privilege and a pleasure to stay in them. We cannot recommend this lovely hamlet of rejuvenated farm buildings highly enough for large family/friend groups (or indeed the individual buildings for smaller groups). As far as the area is concerned, this little pocket of Ireland has a rich heritage and if you care to drag yourself away from Ballilogue, you'll find plenty to see and do within a short car journey. Ballilogue sits in County Kilkenny, close to the scenic village of Inistioge, but is just a 5 minute drive from the County Wexford border so you get the best of both counties. The weather was miserable so we found it hard to tear ourselves away from the stove and the comfort of our accommodation and I would imagine that is likely to be the case even in warm weather simply because the setting of Ballilogue is so charming. Either way, it's the perfect place to savour this special part of Ireland'

'THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING STAY'
'Myself and a group of friends stayed at this property for 2 nights and everything exceeded our expectations. The property itself is beautifully decorated. Everything from the bed linens to the kitchen crockery is 5*! We could not get over the attention to detail. In line with the quality of the property is the help and service provided by the manager at Ballilogue who can help you with every aspect of your stay. Such a pleasure to deal with and nothing was too much effort. This is a beautiful part of the world. Thank you for an amazing stay and we hope to be back very soon.

'THE QUALITY OF THE ACCOMMODATION WAS EXCELLENT'
Ballilogue Lodge was a perfect retreat for my family coming in from various places. The quality of the accommodation was excellent, the staff were highly professional, making us feel warmly welcome. There were many lovely touches, such as bathrobes in every bathroom, and a great selection of DVDs. We stayed on after the wider group left and the lodge was ideal for young kids as well as adults. Locally there is lots to see and do, although the weather didn't allow us to fully realise the potential of the area. This does, however, give us an excuse to return soon! Thank you and best of luck for the future

'ABSOLUTE GEM IN THE KILKENNY COUNTRYSIDE'
I came across Ballilogue Estate on FaceBook, my husband and our two little girls stayed in 'The Barn' which has been beautifully renovated to the highest specs. When we arrived we were greeted by the manager at Ballilogue, who showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed. In addition to the main Farm House there are a couple of other houses, also completely renovated and the Old Dairy building is now a communal area where they can host group dinners etc. I reckon this place will do very well for Corporate and Team building events too! We were visiting friends in Inistioge (cutest little village) which is literally only 10 minutes away by car. We had such a lovely stay, besides the comfiest beds ever the Barn had great heating so we were nice and cozy which was great because it was so cold outside. (Not unimportant to mention is that there was a great hairdryer too!!!) Will definitely book again when we are in the area!

'WONDERFUL COUNTRYSIDE, PEACE & TRANQUILITY'
I have stayed here on several occasions over the years and for varied reasons, i.e. a corporate workshop and a special birthday weekend celebration with friends and it's location is just perfect if you are looking for luxury and tranquility. I would also recommend Ballilogue as the perfect venue for a small unique wedding or special birthday celebration when looking for privacy and a special location 'far from the madding crowd'. Catering is also available and excellent. I can highly recommend Ballilogue as a base when visiting or exploring the South-east of Ireland. It's not far to Kilkenny which is a vibrant city and has a wonderful castle. I recommend Ballilogue highly if you looking for something that litle bit special & unexpected.
