Home in the Irish countryside.
A home from home that's architecturally beautiful, light filled and accommodates 22 people across 3 houses with dining hall, private gardens and a Cottage Museum all in one Hamlet are not that easy to find! Especially in the Irish countryside, somewhere as authentic and unspoilt as the south Kilkenny countryside, close to the pretty village of Inistioge in Ireland's Ancient East. What's more it can be privately yours for that special gathering of friends or family be it a birthday, wedding celebration or even an excuse to bring all your favourite people together!
Art and Architecture.
Irish art, books, Voya seaweed toiletries, fluffy designer towels and robes and Irish-made memory foam beds make for a little luxury, relaxation and fun. The team at Ballilogue leave you to it but are there if needed, the Ballilogue chefs provide private dinners or delivered food, all with the freshest and best local ingredients and the option too of the use of the elegant Old Dairy Dining Hall across the courtyard for gourmet feasts!
History and Tradition.
Not to mention your own private traditional music session in Mrs. Meaney's Cottage Museum, dating back to pre-famine times, surrounded by Irish rural life, the original furniture and artifacts with Trish's amazing stories and fiddle playing post that special dinner celebration and to round off the evening.
Relax in the Silence.
It's the down time, the solitude, the morning chorus of birdsong and the walks through the wildflower meadow gardens, orchard and herb garden at Ballilogue that reminds one of the pleasure of enjoying the moment in a place deep in the Irish countryside that has changed so little and affords that welcome break from the daily grind.
Experiencing the South East.
Venturing out there is the Dunbrody Famine Experience, a great family outing; the JFK Arboretum, walking the river Nore in Inistioge, Woodstock Gardens, Kilkenny Castle and a host of lovely pubs and great restaurants. Step House in Borris, Mannions in New Ross, Circle of Friends in Inistioge and Zuni in Kilkenny. Time to read, write, natter, laugh and enjoy one another's company. It's what life is all about and Ballilogue in the Kilkenny countryside is a pretty special place to do it.
