One of the pleasures at Ballilogue is having a great private base for groups of family and friends to explore Ireland and experience the sights and sounds of Ireland's Ancient East.
Just under 2 hours from Dublin airport and with modern light filled interiors and Kilkenny stone facades the hamlet provides farmhouses and barns around a central courtyard like a private village so that there is space to retreat , relax and come together too.
Ballilogue has the Cottage Museum, the Shed Bar and the Old Dairy dining hall around that central courtyard for a group or family celebration with catered dinners, traditional Irish music, drinks and the opportunity to enjoy an evening together in the hamlet itself. Transport too can be organised for day trips and airport collection. It's what we do at Ballilogue to make an Irish vacation special and memorable.
Kilkenny Castle, Waterford Crystal and the Kennedy Homestead are all close by as are the pretty villages of Inistioge and Graiguenamanagh with Duiske Abbey and Woodstock Gardens. There is so much to do and see around and about Ballilogue.
At Ballilogue itself there is the luxury and comfort of Egyptian cotton bedlinen and Voya organic toiletries in spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Double height sitting rooms, sun rooms and libraries with wood burning stoves.
Private walled mature gardens too that allows for a peaceful stroll listening to the morning chorus or collecting herbs from the vegetable garden or apples from the orchard.
It's a summer getaway but equally wonderful in spring and autumn for that luxury escape to explore Ireland's Ancient East. Check out what guests say about their experiences at Ballilogue here and read too our guide to 4 days in Ireland.
