The gourmet capital of Ireland, a wonderful small city with Kilkenny Castle, the Butler Art Gallery, Smithwick's brewery as well as great places to eat and drink.
2. THOMASTOWN & INISTIOGE
On the river Nore closeby to Ballilogue are a very special town and village. Thomastown has great food, craft and jewellery galleries as well as Jerpoint Glass and Abbey. Inistioge is a gem with the Woodstock Estate, O'Donnell's pub and walks along the river.
3. GRAIGUENAMANAGH & BORRIS
Breathtaking views and great walks on the canal tow paths and rolling hills. Experience Duiske Abbey, the Cushendale Woollen Mill. Don't miss the quaint lovely pubs of O'Shea's and Joyce's in Borris, the food in the Step House or the Castle of the High Kings of Ireland.
