Our wedding at Ballilogue was perfect. The setting itself is really unique - from the tastefully styled rooms and converted buildings to the beautiful, natural gardens. It all makes for a wonderful backdrop for a wedding. Having the Ballilogue Stone Hamlet for the full weekend of celebrations really helped to bring everyone together. Organising a wedding from the UK was never going to be easy but Mark’s insights and guidance really helped to realise our vision.
We were lucky enough with the weather to celebrate under a canvas stretch tent on the grounds while still having access to all of the quaint outbuildings such as the Shed bar and Mrs. Meaney’s cottage.
We cannot thank the Creative Team enough for all of their guidance and support in planning the most special weekend to celebrate our wedding with our friends and family.
It was such a memorable time and our guests are still talking about our wedding. We wish we could do it all over again at wonderful Ballilogue.

Getting married at the magical and highly unique Ballilogue in the heart of southern Kilkenny in rural Ireland created a truly romantic backdrop for our special day. Choosing to book the Ballilogue Stone Hamlet for our intimate destination wedding for 25 guests in Ireland was the best decision that we ever made. We highly recommend this rustic gem to those looking for an intimate wedding experience! The Creative Team at Ballilogue made the planning of this most special time in our lives from far away on the West Coast of Canada, both an enjoyable and seamless experience.
We spent three days at Ballilogue with our closest loved ones. Catering, flowers, photography & entertainment were all superb, each service a recommendation from Ballilogue. All of our guests who stayed and attended the wedding absolutely loved every single aspect. From the comfortable bedrooms, large modern kitchens, private gardens, and peaceful sitting areas, Ballilogue provides a picture-perfect venue that feels like a home away from home. A time to remember and treasure forever. Thank you Ballilogue.

We fell in love with Ballilogue when we first visited it. It's the perfect setting for an intimate wedding - we loved the old world charm mixed with modern touches and the beautiful gardens with wildflowers. It's very peaceful and our guests were able to instantly relax and settle in. It's a great venue if you are looking to make a mini holiday of it and extend your celebrations over a few days, as we did. The houses are very comfortable and everyone had lots of space, with most of the rooms being ensuite and the beds are extremely comfortable. It's not the typical "hotel wedding package" - Ballilogue allows you to customise your own wedding quite a lot so be prepared to take an active role in planning and organising. We sourced and booked our own caterers, which we were very happy with; organising it all from another country was challenging at times though!
Ballilogue's recommendations for other suppliers worked out really well - our photographer, florist & hairstylist & trad musicians were all great. ensuring everything on our wedding day ran smoothly: the day flowed easily through all the different spaces - we had a beautiful ceremony in the atrium, drinks amongst the wildflowers in the garden, dinner in the Dairy and we opened up the Shed bar and Mrs. Meaney's cottage as a surprise for our guests later in the evening where we enjoyed trad music & dancing.
We have very fond memories of our few days at Ballilogue and we already thinking about when we can next come back!

When we started planning our wedding we were looking for a venue that would feel like a weekend away for our family and closest friends, with a little bit of luxury thrown into the mix. We came across Ballilogue and were so excited when we got in touch with the Creative team to find that they cater for wedding celebrations. Soon after, we arranged a viewing and within minutes of arriving at Ballilogue, we knew this was the place we were going to have our intimate wedding ceremony. It was the first and last place we viewed!
The houses are exquisitely and tastefully decorated, but the main thing that struck us about staying at Ballilogue is the stillness. It is so peaceful there, all you can hear are birds singing, and the very occasional car or tractor! We feel that this contributed to the very relaxed atmosphere for the weekend.
The Creative team were incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process offering guidance and suggestions at every turn. On our wedding day they oversaw that all the logistics ran smoothly while all the while being the epitome of calm. We couldn't have asked for anymore! Ballilogue is always going to have a very special place in our hearts and we cannot wait to go back again and again in the years to come.

Ballilogue is such a beautiful location, very tastefully decorated, modern with great facilities across the three houses and Old Dairy, however it still has an authentic and old world charm to it. The Creative Team at Ballilogue made sure every detail of our reception was perfect, everyone involved being very helpful. They were key to the success of the day and had lots of recommendations for the flow of events which were excellent and it showed great knowledge and understanding of the location and venue, knowing what was going to work well for each stage of our celebration. The attention to detail was second to none which made our wedding really very special, no request was too much. Our wedding took place just before Christmas and Ballilogue was prepared to a really high standard, our family and guests were very impressed with the interior festive decorations.
We would have no reservation in strongly recommending Ballilogue for any event from family gatherings, short weekend breaks to something as momentous as a wedding celebration.

A small, intimate Irish wedding with close family and friends is what we always wanted and as soon as we discovered Ballilogue, we knew we had found something special and the perfect venue for our big day. The tricky part was organising it the other side of the equator in Australia at short notice in peak wedding season in Ireland and with two young children in tow! Ballilogue managed to squeeze us in late July for midweek wedding with a two nights for all our guests. All the finer details were organised promptly with emails to and fro and a little help from my parents in Ireland. Arriving on Irish shores a week prior to the wedding, we put a lot of trust in Ballilogue that it would all run smoothly and we weren't disappointed. We checked in the day before our wedding and a beautiful warm Irish welcome awaited. We loved the old traditional buildings, steeped in history, contrasted by the modern comfortable interiors. We loved the intimacy and seclusion of the venue, but were also pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the accommodation on offer. We exchanged our vows under a magnificent pear tree in the garden of Ballilogue House which was the perfect spot in the unusual hot Irish weather, last July. Catering was faultless, taking care of all our needs. The Old Dairy was such a beautiful space to host our reception. Ballilogue was the most exquisite venue we could have hoped for. We will always look back with the fondest of memories. Thank you Mark and the Creative Team for making our wedding celebration at Ballilogue so special.

'Ballilogue was the epitome of exactly the Irish wedding we had hoped for – intimate, relaxed but well-catered for. Planning a 3-day wedding with 30 of your closest friends and family from the other side of the world was a very organised affair and a lot more relaxed than we could have imagined and hoped for. Mark and the Creative Team were fantastic at understanding what meant the most to use for our weekend celebration – good food, good wine and a beautiful setting. From the moment guests arrived to the very end it was a seamless weekend and without much fuss it all came together incredibly well. Mark worked in tandem with and co-ordinated all our suppliers over the weekend from our wonderful stylist & florist Kristine to the amazing food provided by Ella and her team, which meant we didn’t need to worry even for a moment. The accommodation was magic and lends itself perfectly for an intimate affair with all our friends raving about the beautiful setting at Ballilogue. Thanks again for everything.'

"The first time we visited Ballilogue, we knew it was the only place we wanted to get married. Mark and the team were fantastic and made the whole process so enjoyable. Mark was so helpful and accommodating throughout the planning process. He did not let us down with any of his recommendations, from the food, to flowers, to music. Ballilogue was such a perfect setting for our intimate family wedding. Everyone felt at home the second they arrived. Our wedding day exceeded all of our expectations. The weather was beautiful and we made the most of all of the amazing spaces in Ballilogue. We had our ceremony outside in the beautiful wild flower garden, lovely cocktails in the quirky Shed bar, a fabulous dinner in the Old Dairy, a lively trad session in Mrs Meaney's cottage on site and finished off with more dancing in the Old Dairy.
It's impossible to pick our favourite moment! It was an unforgettable weekend for everyone!!
We cannot recommend Ballilogue highly enough. Thank you so much to Mark & the Creative team. We will never forget everything you did for us! We cannot wait to come back!!"

'Everything you can possibly imagine can happen here at Ballilogue. We are forever thankful that God helped us to find this magical oasis in a very remote and private, yet extremely elegant setting. Mark, part of the Creative Team at the Ballilogue Stone Hamlet, since the very beginning of our meeting 6 months ahead of the very date of our wedding was so calm, accommodating and confident. Even though we threw so much at him, he was listening attentively and ensured that we would have the best quality and experience possible. We didn't know what to expect at first since planning a wedding from another country was quite difficult. The 5000 miles distance did not present any problem. We are just 4 days after getting married at Ballilogue and all of our guests from California cannot stop talking about it. It's truly because the entire day was magical. Ballilogue pulled off all the stops co-ordinating the day which began the day at 7am and did not finish until 3.30am the next day because 19 guests needed to leave on a bus for Dublin Airport. The food by Ballilogue's recommended catering partner was amazing, the wines delicious and everything was organised and served with such elegance & class. All the little details were so perfect. Thank you to the whole Ballilogue team, this was a truly one of a kind experience!

“Planning a wedding at Ballilogue in rural Ireland from our laptops in Melbourne, Australia was never going to be an easy task; let alone within 3 months. Mark, the Creative Director at Ballilogue was nothing but attentive, professional and understanding from day one. We took the leap and made the reservation for the weekend and envisaged a festival style celebration with 44 friends and family traveling from UK, Ireland and Australia.
The accommodation on site was beyond beautiful. It turned into a real treat weekend for those who stayed at Ballilogue for the 3 nights of our wedding weekend; surrounded by luxury finishes in a warm and inviting homely setting. Lots of areas for friends to catch up and relax as well as escape the buzz for a wander amongst the mature gardens.
Aside from the beauty of Ballilogue itself, we couldn’t have asked for more in Mark’s assistance with planning our big weekend. Despite the short notice, his recommendations for caterers, marquee suppliers, babysitters, local accommodation, transport, florists, nearby vendors and wedding suppliers was invaluable. We had exquisite food on the day from professional caterers who were so helpful with our requirements. We were proud to use a very local supplier for our floral arrangements who even sourced wild flowers from the gardens on site! Every detail was covered with a fine tooth comb throughout the entire weekend, Mark and the team were always there when we needed them but completely non intrusive to our intimate gathering. The team showed great attention to making our guests feel welcome and comfortable - more of a holiday not just a wedding.
If you’re looking for a truly memorable wedding for every guest plus professional and timely communication during the planning phase, the team at Ballilogue will show you nothing but genuine enthusiasm and support to create your dream celebration!”. "We can't believe that we have been married for over a month already! We have been traveling during our honeymoon and forgot that there was an outside world! We landed up in 10 other countries on our journey home last month, and can finally say we are back in Spain and enjoying savoring the moments of the weeks just passed. We had an amazing time at Ballilogue with everyone there - we couldn't have pictured a more perfect place for our wedding. We're not sure if we were even 100% certain of what we really wanted in terms of venue, but we can guarantee this, that Ballilogue was exactly it! The fact that we could have our favourites, family & friends, near us for 2 days, enjoying quality time with each other in such cosy, comfy, Irish luxury was, as my mother puts it, a fairytale! On top of that enjoyment, Ballilogue allowed for a gradual flow into the day of our wedding, where everyone already felt at home and at peace.
Our guests were totally impressed with our choice of venue, the menu, and "the beautiful simplicity" in which the day ran. I'm so glad we found Ballilogue - and that we got to enjoy sunshine for most part of the day. Such a blessing! Even the rain was perfect, as it caused us all to move inside and learn to Irish dance - a moment everyone enjoyed and that brought our Spanish and South African families even closer together!
Everyone loved their time at Ballilogue, I wished we didn't have to leave, and I have already coaxed Nacho into agreeing that we could enjoy anniversaries there in the future!
Mark, on behalf of Nacho and I, thank you for all you did in preparing for us and hosting us - you are truly excellent at what you do. You and the team at Ballilogue have an incredible eye, provide invaluable advice, have impeccable taste and the personalies to match."

We can think of no place we would rather get married than at the Ballilogue Stone Hamlet. In December 2017, my husband and I had the pleasure of bringing together our families from Ireland and the United States and hosting them for three nights in this rural haven. Waking up to the cock crowing on our wedding day is a particularly fond memory! The buildings themselves are absolutely stunning; the stone walls are complimented beautifully by expert interior design, making for a modern country feel. Every bedroom was cosy and spotless, so much so that it took us a while to settle on taking the barn for ourselves. The Old Dairy was ideal for our small gathering, the manager made sure to have the fire burning for us during the ceremony. Everywhere you looked on the property presented a photo opportunity, even on a cold winter's day. I can only imagine how pretty the gardens would be in the height of summer. As if the beauty of Ballilogue wasn't enough, the hospitality and help of the Ballilogue team in orchestrating our stay and ensuring we were comfortable and happy was the icing on the cake. The Creative Team in particular, were in constant contact with us during the planning process, recommending hair and beauty therapists, equipment rental companies and even securing a two-piece traditional Irish band to play in Mrs Meaney's cottage for the wedding reception. The music session was a real highlight for all the guests and is still brought up on a regular basis at family and friends gatherings. The service provided by the Ballilogue team was second to none and we would highly recommend that any couples venue-hunting snap this place up before it gets booked! Thank you for the most incredible wedding experience. We hope to return soon! Janine & Duncan, Derry, Ireland & Oregon, USA, Wedding @ Ballilogue, December 2017.
